February 2019 I started a project close to my heart: Gentle(men).
Boys are bombarded with pictures of perfect men just as often as women, but the body positivity movement for men has barely started.
It's still not cool for men to cry or be soft and a sixpack is the ultimate goal to be able to open the doors to manliness.
With this project I wanted to create awareness, photographing men that don't identify with the 'Ken' image we're portraying. Every boy or men has the right to feel good in his body. They are gentle(men).
This is a fictional campaign for VICE Media and was presented at Academie Artemis - including a photobook, video, online platform and weekly event. For more info please send me a message.
